Do you have experience supporting children with SEND needs/care background?
YSA Education are currently working with an all through special school in the Telford/Shifnal area that provides for children with Autism and challenging behaviour between the ages of 8 years to 19 years. The school prides itself on ensuring all children reach their full potential through high standards of teaching and learning. Your role as a SEN Teaching Assistant would be to work alongside the class teacher, helping them to meet the differing needs of the children in the classroom . They require Teaching Assistants for both primary and secondary age groups and you MUST be willing to help carry out personal care. This school is NOT accessible via public transport, so drivers are preferable. The hours for the roles are Monday- Friday, 9am to 3pm and the school are looking to start suitable staff members as soon as possible.
Role Requirements:
- A nurturing individual with a passion for working with children.
- Ability to work as part of a team, alongside teaching staff.
- Prior experience of working with children or adults with Autism.
- Residential experience is also welcome.
- Personal Care.

Requirements:
- DBS on the update service or willing to get one that is child and adult.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- Knowledge of Autism/Challenging behaviour.
The suitable applicants must have experience or willing to gain experience within special needs. Support will be provided for any teaching assistants that feel they have transferable experience.
