YSA Education are working closely with a Special Educational Needs College in Coventry to help find them passionate and skilled Residential Support Workers who have a passion for working with SEND students and creating a safe learning space for students. This is a role for people who have experience working in care, working with SEND and high pressure environments that can think on their feet, create strong professional boundaries and take time to make the students feel cared for, safe and comfortable in their environment.
This role is based in a residential setting and will require you to work shift patterns including late nights and weekends.
The ideal candidate for this role must have the following:
- A background in care or working with SEND students
- Experience performing personal care
- A passion for making learning accessible and working alongside challenging behaviours
- Experience with challenging behaviour is desirable but not essential
- A can-do attitude
- Experience working with mental health challenges
- A genuine desire and patience to work with challenging behaviour and make a difference to the lives of the students that they are working along side
