YSA Education are currently looking to recruit SEND Teaching Assistants for SEND schools across Coventry. This is a role suited to experienced SEND Teaching Assistants or experienced carers looking to transition into working with young people with special educational needs. This role is a very heavily care based post, there is personal care and manual handling involved whilst also being responsible for de-escalating challenging behaviour.
The successful candidate will be working to support students with diverse and complex needs. You will therefore be committed to enabling students to fulfil their ambitions.
This is a varied and rewarding role and the ideal candidate will have:
- Minimum of Level 2 qualification (in any field)
- Genuine caring nature
- Desire to make a difference
- Prior experience as a Care Assistant or Support Worker would be an advantage.
- Candidates will have an enhanced DBS on the update service or be happy to obtain.
