YSA Education are working closely with a Special Educational Needs School in Walsall to help them find passionate and skilled Teaching Assistants who have a passion for working with challenging behaviour and creating a safe learning space for students. This is a role for people who are used to working in challenging and high pressure environments that can think on their feet, create strong professional boundaries and take time to understand the reasons behind behaviour.

This role is to start ASAP.

The ideal candidate for this role must have the following:

  • Empathetic qualities
  • An understanding for SEMH and SEND
  • A passion for making learning accessible for all types of students without discrimination
  • Experience with challenging behaviour is desirable but not essential
  • A can-do attitude
  • Experience working with mental health challenges
  • A genuine desire and patience to work with challenging behaviour and make a difference to the lives of the students they are working along side
